Job Description:
The Biomedical Science team at Pulse is recruiting a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology to work in a busy hospital in Watford. We are looking for a Biomedical Scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory’s Microbiology service. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “great people, great place.”
What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology, you will have experience in reading cultures, identifying significant pathogens, and performing susceptibility testing. You will also support senior biomedical scientists in delivering the service and guide junior members of staff. Additionally, you will participate in quality assurance and control processes, contribute to method development, and assist in troubleshooting any issues related to microbiological testing. You will maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, while actively participating in departmental meetings and training programs.
