SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER- REMOTE CONTRACT

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Product Manager, Personal Health Ecosystem will report to the Vice President of Product, Personal Health Ecosystem and contribute to the end-to-end development and go-to-market strategy for Thorne’s Personal Health Ecosystem product offering. This role requires a strong foundation in all stages of consumer product management, including planning, discovery, and delivery. This role will involve supporting roadmap planning, prioritization of functionality, product and design reviews, A/B test optimizations, and more, all with a customer-first mentality while tracking measurable impact to our business and keeping a highly cross-functional team of stakeholders in alignment. This role requires the ability to manage cross-functional projects and stakeholder relationships, track progress and make decisions with a data-informed approach, anticipate future needs, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time in support of business goals.

This is a fully remote contractor role with a projected contract term of 12 months.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development and Execution: 

• Partner with senior leadership to drive and execute product vision and strategy from concept to launch for Thorne’s Personal Health Ecosystem.
• Demonstrate leadership in product discovery and delivery processes and ensure timely launch of high-quality features while managing scope, risks, and trade-offs. 
• Lead product and design review meetings with confidence, facilitating discussions around feature design, prioritization, user experience, and business impact. 
• Communicate product requirements with clarity, supporting Design and Engineering with specifications, acceptance criteria, and user testing. • Create written documentation and specifications to provide clarity and maintain alignment.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Operational Efficiency: 

• Lead cross-functional teams across the Engineering, Science, Medical, Marketing, Data, R&D, and Legal departments, as well as third-party vendors, and manage stakeholder relationships with these groups, including Executives, with a focus on clear, concise, and impactful communication.
• Work autonomously, managing competing priorities and guiding teams through ambiguity, maintaining a methodical, results-oriented approach.
• Ensure team is operating efficiently by implementing effective processes, tools, and metrics for product development and delivery. 
• Anticipate challenges and provide well-structured solutions that keep teams on track and stakeholders informed.

Data-Informed Problem Solving and Decision-Making: 

• Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure products are launched with proper data tracking, reporting, and A/B testing that provide actionable learnings and insights and enable measurement of impact to Thorne’s business. 
• Regularly track and communicate product performance, identifying opportunities for optimization and improvements in both operational efficiency and product quality. 
• Report on progress, risks, and successes, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and maintaining transparency at all stages. 
• Seeks formal and informal performance assessments of self, including performance versus expectations and goals, behaviors, and leadership potential. 
• Participates actively in required training and development programs and electives as suits one’s needs, and support colleagues, trainers, and management as appropriate with these efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience and/or Education: B.S or B.A degree required, with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of proven experience in D2C tech product management in highly cross-functional teams. 
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to break down complex ideas and challenges into actionable steps. 
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and prioritize competing initiatives. 
• Experience working with third-party vendors, managing external relationships, and integrating their products/services. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to addressing challenges. 
• Ability to discern when to lead and when to follow, while maintaining a strong point of view but demonstrating flexibility when presented with new information. 
• Background in generative AI, e-commerce, and/or health and wellness technology. 
• Experience working in regulated environments requiring a diverse array of compliance measures. 
• Experience with B2B product lines a plus.
