Summary of Job Duties:
This position is responsible for organizing the daily workflow in the radiology reading rooms. This includes providing customer service and clerical support to the clinical team. The Reading Room Assistant acts as a liaison between the patients, technologists, clinics, and physicians. This employee will be service oriented and work to problem solve any issues of need until resolved by collaborating with the appropriate personnel for designated issues.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED PLUS One year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using PACS, EPIC, or similar electronic medical records


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Answers phone, takes complete messages, and transfers calls as needed.

  • Returns pages for team members as needed.

  • Schedules radiology reads by follow-up appointment utilizing the PACS & EPIC systems.

  • Assists the radiologists with daily workflow.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
