Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, people-first Team Leader to help drive results, inspire excellence, and support a high-performing team in a fast-paced, outdoor operations environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys developing others, and has the confidence to lead by example.
As a Team Leader, you'll supervise a small section of general laborers and/or equipment operators, ensuring daily tasks such as loading, shipping, production, and plant maintenance are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. You will not directly manage, but will guide and support, acting as a frontline leader and go-to resource for your team.
Assign and oversee daily tasks to your team based on operational priorities
Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols
Actively participate in work activities alongside the team in an outdoor setting
Train, coach, and motivate seasonal and year-round team members on procedures and expectations
Support the development of future team leaders through mentorship and performance coaching
Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures
Assist with cross-functional duties as needed across the facility
Provide feedback to management and contribute to process improvements
Required:
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Basic math proficiency
Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-volume environment
Flexibility to rotate across areas (loading, production, field, etc.) as needed
Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules based on operational needs
Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
1+ year of supervisory experience in this type of work environment
Majority of time spent outdoors in varying weather conditions (dust, allergens, heat, cold)
Occasional work in indoor office settings for administrative tasks
Requires frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, and lifting
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unaided and 50 lbs with assistance
Use of machinery and equipment such as table lifters; ability to become certified on internal vehicles
May involve occasional confined space work and climbing ladders or scaffolding
