Guidewire Cloud Developer

What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $73-83 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $83-93 per hour.
• 6-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.50 hours per week.
• Hybrid model – 3 days per week on-site, subject to change.
Responsibilities:
• Review software requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Design architectural diagrams and technical documentation.
• Configure and customize Guidewire Billing Center, including Direct and Agency Bill workflows.
• Build screens, business rules, and workflows.
• Develop and deploy software using Guidewire tools and accelerators.
• Ensure quality through debugging, unit testing, and peer code reviews.
• Establish coding standards and mentor junior developers.
• Collaborate within Agile teams using tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence.
• Contribute to modern web application development and RESTful API design.
• Reverse-engineer code in other languages and support end-to-end business application development.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Guidewire application development.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience configuring Guidewire Billing Center.
• Guidewire Cloud Certification (Associate or Ace) is required.
• Expertise in GOSU programming and Guidewire configuration, including Batch processes and plugins.
• 7+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• 7+ years of programming experience in C#, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• 7+ years working with relational databases; MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL preferred.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance domain.
• Experience designing and building web applications using REST/JSON.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Ability to read and interpret code in multiple languages.
• Deep knowledge of customer-centric development and design thinking principles.
