This role is in the ‘Trade Finance Squad’ in the Commodities, Trade & Carbon (CTC) crew.  The Crew works with CBA's domestic and international trade and supply chain finance customers, providing specialist trade products and services to our Business and Institutional Banking customers. The squad's purpose is to provide leading digital experiences through safe, stable, scalable, and resilient platforms.

As a Software Engineer you will play a pivotal role in the team, working within a cross-functional squad responsible for the technical design, development, and rollout of CTC customer experiences.   We are looking for someone to join our team who is passionate about creating transformative digital experiences who thrives in a collaborative environment and is constantly pushing the boundaries to help deliver outcomes that define future industry trends.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

  • Pride themselves in their ability to design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, Springboot, AWS technologies.

  • Are knowledgeable in Implementing API development and integration efforts, ensuring seamless data flow and system interaction.

  • Are constantly collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

  • Are comfortable in working with DevSecOps teams.

  • Are comfortable working closely with product management to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.

  • Are able to troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

  • Implement robust security measures, data protection strategies, and fail-safe redundancy features.

Tech Stack:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
 

  • Java, NodeJS, Springboot

  • Hands on in AWS Cloud technologies

  • Database and transactional knowledge

  • Working knowledge of DevOps & CI/CD pipelines

  • Good experience in messaging technologies (MQ, Kafka)

  • In depth knowledge of Kafka

  • Knowledge of Oracle DB

  • Python, SQL

  • Knowledge of Redshift, Snowflake
