Job description

SUMMARY:

  • The Field Veterinary Medical Manager provides technical expertise and veterinary support to the Poultry customers, external stakeholders in the assigned territory. He needs to ensure our scientific resources and technical activities deliver value to our customers, giving Zoetis a major differentiator and creating significant competitive advantage. He will also be responsible for customer support at territory level within the field.
  • The person in role works in close collaboration with field colleagues. He will support and enable the team to provide scientific and technical support to our customers on the health, diagnostics, and disease control of their animals.
  • The Field Medical Manager also owns the marketing strategy in the designated area for product portfolio and services. He will be responsible for the implementation of strategy and execute activities which deliver value to the customer.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

       Strategy and Planning

  • Plan, implement and coordinate Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management plans in line with current product focus and future product development and launches. Support in executing this strategy.
  • Contribute to the strategic plans made by the Poultry Business Unit. Provide base input on comprehensive knowledge of customers and markets.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of value-added service activities such as serology, PCR, Hatchery related activities.
  • Translate strategy into tactical delivery.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the market, industry trends and competition. Interpret the effects and opportunities that exist with our portfolio of products and services.
  • Maintain an overview of the account plans across the business unit, applying a strategic and technical view
  • Plan regular field visits with Field colleagues. Utilize field time to understand day to day issues affecting field force, and monitor attitudes, skills, morale and effectiveness.
  • Play an active role and provide veterinary insight at all necessary company meetings, events and training. Set the expectation with team of FTMs to do the same.
  • Act as a lead technical representative from the designated area on all necessary projects.

Customer Activities

  • Provide technical support to customers like support of sample collections, dispath, interpretation and communication of observations.
  • Training of internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor KPIs to drive the required coverage and frequency with identified target customers and deliver consequent growth.
  • Support in delivering strategic messages and marketing programs to the field force that fit into the context of the Solution Selling model.
  • Abilities to work after office hours or weekends when needed.
  • Responds and resolves to customers queries in most professional way.

Business Unit Support & Relationships

  • Support marketing teams by providing market inputs.
  • Work closely with L&D on the delivery of high-quality technical training for Field Force and Key Account Managers
  • Work with the Pharmacovigilance (PV) and regulatory team to ensure PV related situations are communicated across all team members as well as supporting the PV team when required.

Compliance & Pharmacovigilance

  • Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global Vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practice.
  • Ensure the proper conduct of clinical activities such as demonstrations.
  • Ensure the recording of accurate business records. Communicate effectively, sharing account information with other stakeholders

Education:

  • Preferably MVSc in Microbiology, Pathology, Biotechnology with atleast 5 years of experience in Poultry Industry or
  • Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine with 10 years of experience in Poultry Industry
  • Valid passport
  • Valid Driving License (4-Wheeler)
  • IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools, presentation skills.

Experience:

      -       Experience of minimum 5 years working in Poultry vaccine /health / Farms /Hatchery /Poultry Production.

      -       Experience of working in MNCs with team from diverse backgrounds

-             Experience of technical engagement with consultants and poultry professional

-             Experience of Presentation to larger group of industry KOLs / industry meetings

-             Experience of updating himself on technical issues and training the team

Language: Good command in verbal and written for English. Knowledge of multiple regional languages will be an added advantage.
