As Senior Field Technician Services Manager, you will assist in the support of our production facilities across the United States. The Senior Field Technician Services Manager will train on the essential work functions, chemistry, and formulating methods specific to ECS technologies. The Senior Field Technician Services Manager will also lead and prioritize projects in all aspects of the foam pouring / fabrication divisions.
So, what will you be doing as Senior Field Technician Services Manager?
- Formulating Specialty Foam, processing, and production improvements
- Commodity & HR foam formulating and processing to optimize yields and performance
- Trouble-shooting and physical property analyses and gather critical information
- Knowledge and troubleshooting of basic fluid systems in the foam industry
- Cause & effect relationships in PU Foam (and ECS specialty foam) formulating, and slab stock machine mechanics
- Raw Material and process safety
- Preventative Maintenance and Systems Optimization
- Leading and driving key production improvement operations and projects
- Manage trials and production improvement projects and strategies in pouring and fabrication across multiple facilities
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 5+ years of work experience
- Must have knowledge of all aspects of production improvement projects and know how to execute efficiently.
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality with a passion for learning
- Strong mechanical/process skills for working safely and effectively in foam production and fabrication
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with data analysis and report generation in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment
- Good teamwork skills to collaborate effectively and drive efficiency with pour-line chemists and lab support
- Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred
- Organized, careful, attentive to details and strong leadership skills
- Ability to travel 30 to 50 percent of the time with overnight stays
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; maintains a clean and organized work environment.
- Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity.
- Safety - Observes all safety procedures and policies; Reports potentially unsafe conditions to supervisor; Uses equipment and materials properly.
Things we consider a plus:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Experience in polyurethane foam formulating/production preferred
