The opportunity

The Brand Specialist is part of our growing team that will raise brand and product awareness of Gildan’s suite of products by promoting the Gildan Advantage (quality, value, availability and CSR) to distributor sales reps and their customer base. Provide recommendations and guidance to Gildan’s management group based on analysis of market related to distributors, competitors, and general industry. This is a remote position with a home office based in one of the following locations: Cleveland, OH; Cincinatti, OH; Louisville, KY; Kansas City, MO; St Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN; Detroit, MI; Pittsburg, PA.

The role

  • Train Gildan’s distributor sales teams and their top customers on the Gildan Advantage (quality, value, availability and CSR).
  • Provide recommendations and guidance to Gildan’s management group from in depth marketing analysis and expertise.
  • Prepare content for customer-facing events and training sessions.
  • Develop strong relationships with the distributor sales teams and their respective key customers. Analyse any feedback given and process it accordingly.
  • Represent Gildan at events such as trade shows, open houses, sales meetings, virtual meetings and supplier panels to attract potential customers.
  • Implement corporate and distributor Gildan brand marketing campaigns.
  • Act as a liaison between the Gildan KAE, distributor sales teams and Gildan marketing; work with sales and marketing teams to come up with unique strategies to market Gildan’s products to the market.
  • Research and analyse information and market intelligence regarding our position as it relates to distributors, competitors and the industry in general through end-user calls.
  • Analyze brand strengths, target market, target customers to offer guidance on progress forward.

The requirement

  • University degree and 5-7 years of related experience. Related experience includes Distributor sales experience, Promotional Product Distributor (PPD); printshop; or other related apparel experience, such as buying, merchandising, or planning.
  • Do you have a love for travel? This role will involve 40% travel to accounts and events.
  • Must be based in one of the following metro areas: Cleveland, OH; Cincinatti, OH; Louisville, KY; Kansas City, MO; St Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN; Detroit, MI; Pittsburg, PA.
