Geocgi is looking for a GIS Systems Architect to support to support our client, the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA). This work can be performed remotely, but travel will be expected to NATO nations for implementation. The candidate will support the upgrade of the current Core GIS system used in support of NATO operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and update Core GIS architecture to match COTS software version
• Create and define installation and accreditation documentation for the system
• Define the best configuration settings for the new architecture at security, anti-virus and underlying infrastructure software
• Prepare automated installation & configuration scripts
• Prepare migration plan from previous baselines
• Assist with the Core GIS baseline User Acceptance
• Update the reference systems up to date and in line with the latest approved Core GIS baselines

The following are requirements of the GIS Systems Architect
• U.S. Citizen
• Active U.S. Passport
• Fluency in English
• DoD or NATO Secret Clearance
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree at a nationally recognized/certified in a GIS, IT, Computer or Software related discipline and a minimum of 6 years post-related experience
• Large experience across a broad range of IT related skill areas including networking, security, server and desktop installation, enterprise applications, web applications and desktop development
• Strong experience with design, integration and implementation of Enterprise GIS solutions
• Experience with VMWare virtual server implementation, optimization and management
• Experience with optimizing and configuring Cloud solutions
• Demonstrated experience on version migration of large and complex systems
• Proficiency with Python, ArcPy, Powershell or other scripting tools
• Proven experience in developing GIS Enterprise system architectures
• Large experience in setting upgrade/migration paths for existing complex systems
• Expertise in IT infrastructure and platform services (such as databases, virtualization platforms, network components) to the extent as it is required for the design and operation an enterprise system
• Large experience in optimization of underlying services such as anti-virus, firewall and network
• Professional experience with direct customer contact and the direct interaction with customers
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team
The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $120,000-$150,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
