As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Night Shift IT technician L1 to join the MSP Corp. West team.

 

About the Role  

 

As a Night Shift IT technician L1, you will be responsible in working closely with our clients in order to provide technical support for on-premises infrastructure, Azure Cloud environments and Microsoft 365 implementations. Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, the Technical Consultant is responsible for a wide variety of IT and helpdesk support services to our clients, including troubleshooting, diagnosing and supporting systems while maintaining a cyber-security focused mindset.


Location: Calgary, AB

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 6:00pm – 2:30am PST. 

Work Mode: Hybrid* 

* This is a primarily remote role once onboarding has been completed, although the successful candidate should have flexibility to work from our office location(s). The role can also include visiting client locations to provide in-person support. 


What You Will Do 

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues that customers are experiencing. 
  • Provide professional, and pleasant customer service and support over the phone, through emails, phone, Microsoft Teams, or in person. 
  • Manage and monitor (remote) system alerts, notifications, and respond to service tickets. 
  • Provide operating system and application patching according to agreed procedures. 
  • Communicate with customers, and keep them informed of incident progress, impending changes, and agreed outages.  

 

What We Are Looking For 

  • Minimum 2 years of directly related work experience 
  • (Students / graduates with a great attitude and technical know-how will be considered) 
  • IT certifications are an asset 
  • Experience with installing, configuring and administering Windows Server solutions 
  • Experience in deploying and administering Microsoft Azure environments 
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office 365 installation & administration 
  • Experience with LAN/WAN configuration and troubleshooting 
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions e.g. Datto, Veeam etc. 
  • Experience with VMware, and Microsoft Hyper-V 
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ConnectWise Manage and RMM tools 
  • Excellent Communication skills 
  • Ability to create user documentation / guides / operating procedures / KB articles 
  • Valid Work Permit 
  • Ability to travel to local client locations
