About Challenger Sports:

Challenger Sports is a leading provider of youth soccer programs and camps across North

America, committed to developing players and connecting communities through the sport. With

a growing network of coaches, clubs, and partners, we are expanding our internal recruitment

efforts to meet rising demand across the United States.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and organized internal recruiter to lead the candidate search and

recruitment process for both U.S.-based coaches and international students eligible for work

authorization (e.g., CPT/OPT). The successful candidate will play a key role in building a robust

and reliable talent pipeline by sourcing, screening, and supporting coaching candidates through

the hiring process.

This role will require a mix of recruiting, outreach, relationship building, and internal

coordination with multiple departments including HR and Regional Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Sourcing:

  • Search for and identify coaching candidates via job boards, university career portals, and


LinkedIn.

  • Target both U.S.-based coaches and international students (e.g., OPT/CPT) with a


passion for soccer and youth development.

Business Development & Outreach:

  • Establish and grow relationships with U.S. universities, soccer associations, local clubs,


and coaching organizations.

  • Build partnerships and referral pipelines to expand the coach candidate network


nationwide.

Recruitment Strategy & Coordination:

  • Collaborate weekly with the Director of Recruitment to align on hiring goals, discuss


open roles, and provide candidate updates.

  • Review candidate profiles and resumes for current openings and schedule screening


interviews.

Interviewing & Evaluation:

  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidate suitability based on Regional


Director criteria.

  • Evaluate qualifications, availability, and legal work eligibility.
  • Coordinate with Regional Directors for second-round/final interviews.


Onboarding Support:

  • Once approved, communicate with HR to facilitate onboarding and ensure timely


placement of new hires.

Job Posting & Content:

  • Write and manage job descriptions for open roles on the Challenger Sports careers page


and relevant external platforms.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Excellent time management and scheduling abilities
  • Confident in making cold calls and initiating outreach
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage a candidate pipeline
  • Ability to quickly learn and clearly communicate program details and job requirements
  • Comfortable using LinkedIn, job boards, applicant tracking systems, and G Suite tools
  • Experience or interest in soccer and youth sports is a strong plus


Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of university networks, LinkedIn search tools, or international student


programs is an advantage
