Daily review of the Parts Order report, print pick list and prioritize work load to determine shipping objectives;
Pull parts, stage in designated shipping area, update appropriate software to reflect actions and pack parts for shipment;
Identify potential discrepancies in availability or location of parts requested and work with appropriate personnel to resolve;
Determine and use appropriate packing methods to ensure parts are secured for shipping and minimize damage to part;
Load trucks and document transactions in accordance with established procedures;
Identify and request replenishment of stock when levels are nearing or below the threshold reorder level;
Inspect and perform fork lift audit at the beginning and end of shift. Perform routine maintenance on fork lift as required, Notify appropriate personnel of any issues;
Create, assemble, and input documentation/transactions necessary to prepare, package and ship completed units
Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory;
Cross-train in other areas of operations, including Machining, Small Assembly and Large Assembly and be willing to work in these areas as needed;
Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives and advise Shipping Manager of any maintenance problems that may need to be resolved;
Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements;
Perform other related duties as assigned;
Requires the ability to stand, walk, and reach to a significant degree.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent;
Minimum of 1-year related work experience
Understanding of basic shipping terminology and basic carpentry.
Ability to use hand tools.
Basic computer skills, including email and manufacturing resource planning (“MRP”) software
