Job description

The Property Claims Representative – Complex Loss will be responsible for handling a desk of high exposure and/or complex first-party commercial property claims, requiring excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and willingness to adapt to change. This position reports to the THREE Property Claims Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities

The Property Claims Representative will conduct investigations as they adjust 1st party property claims. The Adjuster’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Investigating losses to determine coverage and the extent of indemnity owed under the policy.
  • Retaining and managing outside vendors and experts as part of a quality claims investigation.
  • Obtaining and reviewing evidence, reports, and records.
  • Establishing appropriate reserves, as warranted throughout the claims investigation.
  • Processing expense and indemnity payments, as appropriate.
  • Maintaining an organized and efficient workflow, including keeping an active diary on each open claim file.
  • Providing superb customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Drafting detailed correspondence, including coverage position letters and reservation of rights letters.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Adjuster licensing
  • At least 5 years of claims adjusting experience, preferably involving commercial property
  • AIC, CPCU, or similar designations are a plus.
  • Basic math
  • Basic literacy in computer knowledge and use
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Xactanalysis, Xactimate, and Xactcontents

  • The ability to investigate facts, analyze problems, and draw appropriate conclusions based on knowledge and logic.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000 per year.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
