JOB SUMMARY
Columbia College is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for a temporary, live-in position as an Assistant Area Coordinator for Residential Learning. This role is focused on enhancing residential learning experiences with a particular emphasis on understanding political science, election year information, and voter registration. The ideal candidate will have a passion for civic engagement, political science, and fostering educational environments within a college setting.
The Assistant Area Coordinator (AAC) is a staff member within the Division of Residence Life, within the area of Student Affairs. The AAC is responsible for an assigned residence hall but is expected to assist with additional areas of campus engagement and student development, as needed. The AAC is a professional staff member who reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students for Student Development. General responsibilities include student learning development, community development, administrative tasks, advising RA staff, carrying out the mission of the Residence Life program, and serving on the On Call Duty Schedule.
