Job description

Context

The King Baudouin Foundation manages over 1,500 projects and funds within its thematic programs. The Foundation is currently ongoing a large-scale digital transformation, with a number of strategic projects at the intersection of the technology and finance departments. One of our short-term specific challenges includes the migration of our ERP to a new platform.

Are you our future Tech Finance Project Manager who will support the KBF in driving strategic Tech/Finance projects such as the ERP migration?

Your role

  • You work side-by-side with the finance team to map out current and future processes on underlying IT/digital systems and ensure good quality documentation.

  • You define the scope, estimate resources, and draft roadmaps for large strategic projects at the intersection of technology and finance, such as the ERP migration.

  • You develop a project methodology, communicate it to colleagues from different internal teams and external stakeholders and coach teams on adopting it.

  • You work with external partners to implement Tech/Finance projects, including ERP configuration, proactively identify risks, and take necessary measures to mitigate them.

  • You assist end-users during testing phases and in monitoring the quality of functionalities delivered by external partners.

  • You contribute to developing digital innovation in the finance functions.

Profile

You are fully aligned with the mission and values of the King Baudouin Foundation, and you have a strong interest in the societal issues we work on.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supporting and executing complex digital projects in financial functions.

  • You have a strong knowledge of IT systems (e.g., ERPs, CRM and other specific tools) and related architectures in finance functions.

  • You are familiar with configuration of packaged solutions – a knowledge of Unit4, Clearwater, iRaiser, and typical OCR solutions would be considered as plus.

  • You have optimized financial flows in other organizations (e.g. quote to cash) including adapting the supporting IT systems.

  • You foster an innovation mindset and can talk fluently about new digital use cases for financial functions (e.g. chatbots for support functions, automatic invoice recognition).

  • You understand technical language and can thus bridge the gap between external technological partners and the internal organization.

  • You possess a strong customer orientation, an ability to understand the needs of your stakeholders, and to translate them into technological requirements.

  • You have strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to collaborate closely with various profiles such as colleagues, architects, developers, data experts, or external consultants.

  • You have excellent communication skills to collaborate with other teams.

  • You have an analytical mind that allows you to identify key issues in an extremely complex challenge.

  • You work independently and take on responsibility easily.

  • You establish a rhythm with external partners and colleagues to ensure effective execution of digital projects.

  • You demonstrate creativity: you find new ideas to solve problems that arise.

  • You have the willingness to work fluently and respectfully with all our teams.

  • Practical experience with software such as Salesforce, Boomi, Microsoft Azure, and others is a plus.

  • You have a good command of Dutch, French, and English.

We offer

  • A full-time contract for an indefinite period

  • An exciting and varied job with a lot of autonomy and many contacts

  • Possibility for advancement based on your talents and development desires

  • Opportunity for training, including language courses

  • Flexible schedule and possibility of teleworking

  • An attractive salary accompanied by extralegal benefits such as meal vouchers, group and hospitalization insurance, teleworking allowance, laptop, and mobile phone, public transport subscription, bike allowance, ergonomic equipment, etc.

  • A workplace in the heart of Brussels, easily accessible by public transport

We are all different, and we want this to be reflected within our teams/employees. We firmly believe that these differences allow us to better meet the needs of society.

If you have a disability, please inform us in advance. We will ensure that you can participate in the selection process under the best possible conditions.
