DISPUTE RESOLUTION SPECIALIST – PERSONAL INJURY – MELBOURNE, VIC

About the role 

  • Review disputes not yet listed for conference in line with business rules to ensure the decision sustainable and technically sound
  • Provide a strategy on how to best resolve and/or progress the dispute with a focus on resolving the dispute without the need for a conciliation conference
  • Proactively engage with employers, the Workplace Injury Commission (WIC) and employee representatives to facilitate the early resolution of disputes.
  • Ensure tasks are completed and systems updated with initial reviews, pre-conciliation reviews and conciliation outcomes within set timeframes.
  • Provide superior customer service levels to all parties and identify solutions to resolve disputes that meet Allianz's business objectives.
  • Ensure conciliation and dispute resolution practices are in accordance with the requirements of Allianz/ VWA licence agreement.
  • Ensure appropriate outcomes achieved are in line with legislative boundaries, KPIs and performance measures and service expectations.
  • Identify skill gaps in technical and legal matters and provide input on training needs in conjunction with the team manager and training officers with respect to adverse decisions and claims management practices.
  • Attend Technical Manager and Team Meetings as required to ensure appropriate feedback is provided to improve capability and sustainability of decisions.
  • Formally represent Allianz at conciliation conferences, if required.

 

About you 

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Technical Manager, Eligibility Specialist, or Senior Case Manager
  • Experience in the workers compensation scheme, in particular Case Management, Eligibility and/or Technical Management
  • Strong working knowledge of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013
  • Strong organisational, stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
