Our Bioresources team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Renewable Energy Production Electrical Technician. 
The Bioresources Operational Team operate sludge treatment sites across the Severn Trent region, enabling the Renewable Energy Production team to maximise green energy generation through the production of biomethane gas and electricity, contributing to the Severn Trent business commitments to reduce carbon.

In your new role, it is key to ensure the accurate, precise, and continuous data capture and optimization to maximize gas production and minimize gas flaring. A key focus will be on implementing preventive maintenance techniques and practices, undertaking fault diagnostics, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner. Your efforts will contribute significantly to the efficiency and sustainability of our operations.
 
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:


•    Contribute to the continued and improvement performance of the team activities to achieve business KPI’s and objectives. 
•     To conduct Service and maintenance of our CHP gen sets and Gas to Grid upgraders, develop and optimize existing and new assets to maximise Generation.

•   Understand and implement continuous improvements to the instrumentation asset base and control.
•    Ability to apply Failure Mode Effective Analysis (process, assets, and data) to identify and root cause analysis and work with the team to develop a plan to rectify issues. 
•    Actively collaborate with internal and external partners supporting the design and build of new processes. 
•    Demonstrate accountability and ownership for Renewable Energy Production automation and control processes across the region. 
•    Monitor energy production processes using arrange of data systems, responding to and resolving alarms as required. 
•    Deliver asset health plans with the team, ensuring assets and processes are optimised to maximise performance.
•    Conduct on site testing to provide assurance of online monitors and validate process. 
•    Understand and support the Renewable Energy Production team to comply with the performance, regulatory requirements, and permit conditions to maximise efficiency of production and minimise emissions. 
•    Demonstrate full compliance with evolving regulatory and company requirements, and support audits with external stakeholders as required. 
•    Identify and develop risks and investment opportunities across sites within region. 
  
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
 
In order to be successful in this role, it is expected that you will have and develop a strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety management within high-risk environments. 
You should possess experience, skills, and understanding of PLCs, control equipment, or commissioning activities. While knowledge of renewable energy production, combined heat and power, and gas-to-grid upgrading plants is beneficial, it is not essential as training will be provided.
A full UK Driving License is required for this role
