Job Summary:

As a Commis Chef at our prestigious 5-star resort, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. This position is perfect for passionate individuals looking to develop their skills in a luxurious dining environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking of dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and uphold the resort’s culinary standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Participate in daily mise en place, including washing, chopping, and preparing ingredients for service.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of dishes.
  • Support the team in maintaining inventory levels and assist with stock rotation.
  • Contribute to menu development by providing feedback and suggestions based on guest preferences and seasonal ingredients.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary school experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally in a fine dining or luxury resort environment, is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
