Job description

Job Type
Full-time
Description

Do you love working on BIG puzzles trying to get furniture put in the perfect spot and in a challenging room? Do you enjoy the technical side of interior design? If you are a high energy Interior Designer, love the commercial space planning aspects of design, are highly proficient in Revit and are willing to work hard (and have fun!), then we may be your perfect fit for a career!

At Xybix Systems, we bring healthy furniture layouts to ‘mission critical’ environments nationally. What that means is, we design 911 dispatch centers (supporting fire, police, and sheriff departments), utilities and transportation control rooms, and security surveillance rooms for casinos. And, of course our national contracts will also have you designing radiology, telemetry and the dispatch locations in a hospital facility. You see, we serve those who serve others.

Here's what you’ll be doing:

· Use your technical interior design skills to create innovative design concepts that address the workflow, user needs, and circulation of a operations center workspace. There will be some creative freedom (finish, fabric and colors are involved, but not the key part of this work).

· Use Revit to design a space based on customer needs and room constraints, fitting all their equipment in the room.

· Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and develop accurate quotes.

· Interpret customer needs, work with the Sales Associate on a daily basis, participate in phone/video meetings with clients and be present at on-site meetings, as needed.

You will excel and succeed in this position if you:

· Like the technical aspects of Interior Design; specifically space planning. This is not an aesthetic design job – it’s more like solving a puzzle with the kindest customers you’ll ever experience.

· Like working in a collaborative environment. We are like a family so; you’ll be happiest if you like working with others but have your own task list to work from.

· Enjoy working directly with customers to understand their needs and make them happy!

Requirements

 · Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (we are looking for ALL levels of experience so, please apply regardless of the years of experience you currently possess).

· Possess a high proficiency level on Autodesk Revit 2020/2022 and AutoCAD 2020/2022.

· Have background experience and a love of space planning (did we mention that’s important?).

· Have background experience in rendering process (proficiency in Enscape is preferred).

· Experience with ADA and common code requirements.

· Commercial furniture industry experience preferred but not required.

· Local to Denver, CO as, this is a hybrid role where you will be trained on-site full-time, and then if preferred you can work from home one day per week. A second day per week can be earned after months of error-free work upon approval of your manager and department director.*
