About the role:

The operations performance analyst will serve as a cross-functional resource supporting Operation and Client Success teams by aiming at improving efficiency, decreasing costs and improving net collections. This position is responsible for providing analysis, ad hoc reporting and other data driven support for Operations and Client Success team members. This individual also serves a resource for operations-based projects and operations process-based audits. The purpose of this role is to ensure the highest levels of company, client and operational performance through process improvement, data analysis and project success. 


As an Operations Performance Analyst I with EMS|MC, you will:

  • Be slated for review of “Standard” client base. 
  • Regularly review operational metrics to identify negative trends or issues. This is      accomplished by reviewing and analyzing data and using custom reports or building new reports and/or dashboards. 
  • Regularly review and analyze net collections data, A/R information, workflows, and      operational processes to proactively identify issues that may affect net collections and/or quality. 
  • Monitor and measure departmental outcomes in comparison to client commitments, and identify barriers and implement solutions, when desired outcomes are not      achieved. 
  • Regularly review and analyze collections data, account revenue information,      workflows, and billing processes and proactively identify issues that may affect reimbursement or overall client performance. 
  • Transform client analysis data into actionable items for process improvement, payer      understanding, client documentation, and/or employee work quality. 
  • Serve as a business process expert within depth knowledge of the EMS Revenue cycle to appropriately support operational processes and recommend process improvements. 
  • Approach all responsibilities with a primary focus on operational metrics; develop and communicate innovative ideas to improve overall operational metrics by increasing team performance while cutting costs, and by providing industry-leading customer service. 
  • Work with cross functional teams to define and document process improvement goals and initiatives as it relates to application development and implementation. 
  • Plan QA processes and defines acceptance criteria that will assist program managers with project deliverables. 
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input on client issue resolution and continuous improvement efforts. 
  • Partner with process owners to ensure proper documentation of existing & enhanced processes are in place. 
  • Proactively identify deficiencies and provides appropriate feedback and suggestions      for improvement to management and clients to resolve and prevent issues. 
  • Develop tools and applies best practices for successful change management. 
  • Address administrative, project-related tasks. 
  • Assist teams in organizing projects to clearly define, communicate and meet goals. 
  • Act as liaison with corporate revenue cycle management and information technology      personnel to mature operations toward “model” optimization.  
  • Be willing and able to adapt to changes in work environment, procedures, priorities, and job duties. 
  • Conduct all job tasks, duties, and interactions with professionalism, respect, a positive attitude, and in accordance with company compliance policies and applicable government regulations.

  • Collaborate with other departments in organizational continuous improvement efforts,      especially lean or cost savings initiatives. 
Requirements

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Have a high school diploma with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience with strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management 
  • Have 1-2 years of experience working as a high contributor to dynamic, project-based teams
  • Have the ability to evaluate processes and make recommendations/improvements. 
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills required with a heavy emphasis on documentation of processes and projects. 
  • Have Microsoft Suite skills with heavy concentration on Excel
