Experienced full-time Landscape Maintenance Gardener needed for private estate in the LA area (Beverly Hills).
The Landscape Maintenance Gardener will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty and sustainability of various outdoor spaces. This role will be responsible for the installation and care of the plants and trees in the garden, mowing, watering, and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, weeding gardens, and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Landscape Maintenance Gardener will work with a team of gardeners and report directly to the Landscape Maintenance Foreman. Typical tasks will include, but are not limited to:
• Weeding, pruning, transplanting, watering, deadheading, mowing and maintain all outdoor areas, including scrubbing outdoor hardscape, collecting and disposal of all property trash, animal waste pickup, moving protection such as plywood sheets, Ram Board, and blankets.
• Plant and maintain ornamental trees, fruit trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
• Safely apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns. • Safely and effectively operate power equipment including, power mowers, edgers, string trimmers, chainsaws, rototillers, and drive electric utility vehicle or golf cart.
• Assist with minor pest management.
• General grounds upkeep, including blowing leaves and picking up trash.
Job Qualifications
• Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
• 3+ years previous related landscape and gardening work experience required. • High school or GED preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of plants
• Extensive knowledge of lawn care requirements
• Knowledge of irrigation systems
• Ability to work as a cooperative team member and supporting colleagues in a positive manner. • Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
• US Work Authorization required.
• Transportation to work and the ability to be on time.
• Successful completion of a thorough background investigation and reference check.

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, in inclement weather and in fluctuating and extreme temperatures.
• Ability to use hand tools, brooms, rakes, shovels, saws, loppers, trimmers, backpack sprayers. • Experience using motorized equipment; walking behind power mowers, edgers, string trimmers, leaf blowers, power trimmers, chain saws, rototillers, lawn aerators, power augers, sod cutter, walk behind trencher, motorized herbicide sprayer, and other power tools.
• Ability to keep a flexible work schedule determined by client and horticultural needs. • Ability to use hand trucks, dollies, wheelbarrows, carts, etc.
Schedule:
This is a non-exempt full-time position. Candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends and potentially on Holidays. Schedule is generally (5) days a week (Monday-Friday).
