The newly formed custom content and branded production arm of Shutterstock – Shutterstock Studios – has an opening for a critical role within the global organization, a role that will be tasked with evolving and refining our creative and the way we present ourselves to clients. The Studio is made up of best in class producers and creatives designed to execute creative excellence while delivering an exceptional client experience.

Shutterstock Studios has had an incredible few years of growth – the global production studio has scaled from producing highly creative social content to producing TV spots, integrated digital campaigns, custom 3D animation, and original long form documentaries for the world's biggest brands and agencies. The Studio is a highly sophisticated, global interconnected creative and production solution – designed to service across all content needs for video, photo, music, 3D, Generative AI, animation, and XR.
 

We’re seeking a Creative Services Manager with extensive experience working across commercial global production with a track record of creatively elevating content and converting opportunities to wins. The ideal candidate thrives in a cross-functional, and collaborative team environment, while consistently driving creative solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 

The day to day:

  • Generate and develop innovative concepts for bespoke content programs aimed at attracting new commercial partners while fostering recurring business

  • Lead creative on client pitches in a clear and engaging manner

  • Build and design practical, creative materials, including (but not limited to) pitch decks, pre-production decks, and presentations. 

  • Lead creative ideation and development across all phases of commercial production, ensuring high-quality output from the  Creative Services team.

  • Support internal design requests as needed 

  • Act as a team leader in creative interpretation of client branding and tone to generate creative and direct responses to RFPs

  • Analyze current industry trends via research, creative insight, and audience analysis – convert data into actionable next steps for the Creative Services team

  • Partner closely with Sales, Production, and Post-Production throughout the project lifecycle to ensure elevated creative that meets brand-specific guidelines and budgetary parameters

  • Partner with Pre-Sale and Production leaders to ensure we are aligning staffing needs with expected work volume, quality, deadlines and budget goals

  • Maintain a strong creative foundation and establish creative best practices by monitoring content creation tools and content management technology while initiating needed upgrades and process changes

  • Ensure creative quality control for all Studios content 

  • Manage and mentor our in-house and freelance creative team (2-3 people)

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 5-8 years creative agency or integrated marketing experience with experience in a client-facing role

  • Ability to manage multiple projects (both local and international) 

  • Film and photography production experience  

  • Ability to lead a team of creatives to design pitches and presentations in pre-sale

  • Ability to advise on staffing requirements to execute campaigns successfully in post-sale

  • Technical and creative expertise to provide specific direction and feedback to a team of creatives to successfully complete campaign deliverables

  • Deep understanding of varying content formats (video, photo, xr, experiential, social ) and trends pertaining to current social media platforms

  • RFP response expertise; excellent written and verbal skills 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Keynote, G-Suite, Google Analytics, Microsoft 365 – with a specialty in Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote

  • A drive to be a curious and intentional leader; keen to learn and develop new skills 

  • Exceptional presentation skills

The compensation package offered may vary depending on employment experience, skills, and knowledge. You may also be eligible for our generous benefits package including health, wellness and financial benefits. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of the location(s) below may differ based on the cost of labor, market, and additional factors.
 
The pay range for this position is below:

    • 120,000 - 140,000 per year in New York

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.

The referenced salary range is based on the Company’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
