About the Role

The Senior Product Manager I is responsible for strategic and execution-level product management of a government-procured SaaS ERP platform used by public health agencies. This role involves end-to-end product ownership, including requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, Agile delivery leadership, and coordination with compliance and customer-facing teams.

Ideal candidates will have experience in government technology (govtech), enterprise SaaS, or public-sector ERP systems and understand the delivery constraints and documentation standards required in regulatory or procurement-driven environments. This role may also support RFP responses and participate in prospective customer presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Owns core ERP product features and roadmap, including feature planning, delivery, and iteration
  • Conducts customer research with public agencies and translates insights into product requirements
  • Develops and maintains user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams
  • Manages feature-level backlog, prioritization, and sprint planning in Agile environments
  • Defines and documents business and technical requirements for features subject to structured or regulated approval processes
  • Coordinates with legal, InfoSec, compliance, and engineering to ensure cross-functional alignment and risk mitigation
  • Tracks product performance using defined KPIs and analytics; iterates based on results and customer feedback
  • Contributes to government-facing go-to-market strategies, including support for procurement responses, pricing input, and training readiness
  • Participates in RFP responses and solutioning, including collaboration with business development, technical writers, and leadership
  • May represent the product in RFP-related presentations or technical demonstrations to prospective agency customers
  • Participates in business case creation and planning for future product investment
  • Supports implementation and onboarding processes with public agency customers as needed

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of product management experience in ERP, SaaS, govtech, or highly regulated enterprise applications
  • Strong command of Agile product practices, including user story development, backlog management, and sprint delivery
  • Experience delivering software products in government or procurement-led environments
  • Skilled in balancing iterative product development with documentation, auditability, and compliance constraints
  • Experience contributing to or leading responses to RFPs or similar procurement documents
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions
  • Technical fluency and experience collaborating with engineering on trade-offs, system design, and architectural dependencies
  • Familiarity with regulatory, InfoSec, and legal considerations in public-sector product delivery
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field

Position is eligible for base salary plus an annual bonus.
