Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SUPPORTING DUTIES:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires within the branches. 
  • Provide hands-on, on-the-job training to help new employees acclimate to their roles
  • Facilitate the growth of branch skill levels, from Teller to MSR, through personalized coaching and structured training plans. 
  • Deliver on-the-job coaching to enhance operational knowledge, service excellence, and procedural compliance. 
  • Identify individual and branch-wide development needs and provide targeted solutions. 
  • Mentor employees transitioning into leadership roles, providing guidance on expectations, responsibilities, and leadership practices. 
  • Offer one-on-one coaching to new leaders, focusing on team management, operational oversight, and strategic thinking. 
  • Act as the primary liaison between branches and the training department. 
  • Ensure training materials and curriculum align with branch needs and real-world application. 
  • Provide feedback to the training department to improve or adjust processes and procedures as necessary. 
  • Identify and address discrepancies between training and branch practices, offering solutions to align efforts. 
  • Share best practices across branches to enhance overall performance and efficiency
  • Completes other duties as requested.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Required Education: Education equivalent to a four-year degree or certification or formal training in coaching or employee development. 

Required Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years progressive credit union experience.  Previous supervisory experience to include coaching, mentoring, and professional development is strongly desired. 

Required Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of branch operations, with demonstrated expertise in Teller, MSR, and leadership roles. 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate well with others in writing, verbally, and through the use of presentations and other learning tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point programs.
  • Ability to adapt well to varying conditions and/or audiences.
  • Strong listener, well organized, problem-solver, member-service skills, attentive to detail, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams/departments and multitask effectively. 

Other Requirements: Must provide one’s own mode of transportation for employment purposes, to include transportation to assigned Credit Union locations.
