You will work across regions and business units to ensure global consistency, support future talent identification, and enable data-driven talent strategies.

How you will make an impact

  • Develop and own the global HE Assessment Strategy, ensuring alignment with Hitachi’s corporate talent philosophy and business priorities.

  • Analyze existing assessment tools and processes used across hiring and development, identifying gaps, redundancies, and opportunities for innovation.

  • Select, design, or recommend valid, reliable, and scalable assessment methods tailored to diverse talent segments (e.g., early careers, leaders, technical talent).

  • Establish and implement standardized global assessment processes to ensure fairness, objectivity, and legal compliance across all regions and functions.

  • Define clear global guidelines for Functional Competency Assessment (FCA) and partner closely with business stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption.

  • Monitor local adaptations and provide governance to maintain consistency.

  • Act as the point of contact with Hitachi Corporate for all matters related to assessments, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategies and standards.

  • Collaborate closely with Corporate HR teams, Talent COEs, and business HR partners to co-create and harmonize assessment approaches across the organization.

  • Provide centralized coordination for assessment initiatives, pilots, and rollouts to ensure coherence and efficiency across global entities. Develop and deliver training to HR professionals, recruiters, and people managers on the effective use of assessment tools, interpretation of results, and ethical considerations.

  • Create toolkits, user guides, and learning materials to embed best practices globally.

  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness and impact of assessment tools and processes through data analysis, stakeholder feedback, and evolving organizational needs.

  • Ensure the secure collection, analysis, and storage of assessment data to support strategic workforce planning, succession, and targeted development initiatives.

  • Translate assessment insights into actionable recommendations for Talent, L&D, and leadership development.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.

  • 8–12 years of experience in designing and managing assessment strategies within a global, matrixed organization.

  • Strong expertise in psychometric tools, assessment centers, and behavioral-based evaluations.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-regional consistency while respecting local business needs.

  • Experience working with HR technology platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday, or similar).

  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Strong data literacy with the ability to translate insights into business value.
