Overview

We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient Global Head of Advanced Cyber Defense to lead the strategic evolution of our cyber defense capabilities across on-premises and multi-cloud environments. This senior leadership role is pivotal in shaping the future of threat detection, advanced response, and forensic capabilities within our global Information Security Threat Operations team. Information Security Threat Operations is part of DB's Chief Security Office driving the information and physical security of the bank.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive the strategic roadmap for advanced threat detection and response capabilities across hybrid environments (on-prem and multi-cloud)

  • Establish and evolve threat detection frameworks, integrating threat intelligence, behavioral analytics, multi- Security Information and Event Management landscape and machine learning to proactively identify threats

  • Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cyber defense mechanisms, including endpoint detection and automated response, and cloud-native security tools

  • Oversee the development and execution of advanced incident response protocols, including threat hunting, digital forensics, malware reverse engineering, and root cause analysis

  • Partner with global security operations, cloud engineering, Chief Technology Office and Information Technology infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration of defense capabilities

  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies by fostering a culture of continuous innovation, research, and collaboration with external threat intelligence communities

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with experience in a leadership role focused on threat detection, incident response, or cyber defense

  • Deep expertise in security operations, digital forensics, malware analysis, and cloud security (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

  • Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, threat hunting methodologies, and security automation

  • Experience with at least one SIEM technology, e.g Splunk, MS Sentinel, Google Chronicle

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Global Information Assurance Certification) are a plus

  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment in the financial industry

  • Comfortable with working in international & multicultural teams

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $143,000 to $206,050. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
