This position is hybrid and based at our Brookfield, WI office, offering a mix of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts virtual and instructor-led training for field and home office employees including onboarding of new employees and continuing education for existing employees
  • Designs and maintains effective training collateral by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and/or other stakeholders, including external vendors (as needed)
  • Evaluates and identifies areas for improvement including updating/maintaining existing training materials/courses
  • With support of SMEs, ensures training materials and programs are compliant with the laws and regulations governing the Mortgage Industry
  • Through deploying surveys and continuous professional development, seeks out new ways to keep training current and engaging
  • Creates targeted learning solutions for specific departments with support of SMEs leveraging various methods of training delivery (videos, job aids, etc.)
  • Video editing of training content
  • Delivers on multiple priorities through practicing effective organizational and time management abilities
  • Maintains training content in our Learning Management System (LMS) Coordinates and maintains logistics for training courses and programs, including scheduling
  • Responsible for training attendance tracking and reporting of all training related KPIs.
  • Schedules initial training for all loan originators, including Encompass, Element, Marketing Training, CRM Training, etc.
  • Partner with the Chief People and Administration Officer with administrative tasks including expense reports and event planning 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: BS/BA in business, Human Resources, Communications, or a relevant field required. Mortgage and Instructional design experience a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of proven experience as a corporate trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to engage learners in discussions during training sessions by utilizing adult learning methodology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including consulting and active listening skills
  • Organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Demonstrates good problem solving and decision-making skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgement with limited information
  • Understanding of effective adult learning and training-industry methodologies and willingness to current on new techniques in the corporate training industry
  • Strict adherence to WMC’s philosophy and sales goals

COMPUTER SKILLS:

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
  • Experience creating materials in Canva  
  • Experience with instructional design software (Adobe Creative Cloud)
  • Skilled with technical writing/training including best practices for instructional manuals/job aids
  • Ability to manage and maintain an LMS (with vendor support)
