Job description

Expression is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the technical design and implementation of Salesforce solutions for our government clients. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on development to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that meet complex mission needs.

As a Salesforce Developer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Salesforce applications. You’ll work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to craft tailored solutions that align with business goals and federal standards.

This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and can be Remote.

Key responsibilities include:

Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions based on business and technical requirements
Participate in and lead technical design sessions with development teams
Develop custom features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies
Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution design artifacts
Ensure development adheres to best practices around performance, scalability, and security
Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities and features for potential adoption
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and recommend effective technical approaches

Education and Experience Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of Salesforce development experience
Certification: Salesforce Platform Developer II

Required Skills and Competencies:

Deep expertise in the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
Strong knowledge of Salesforce security and sharing architecture
Experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
Demonstrated success in architecting and deploying large-scale Salesforce implementations
Proficiency in API integrations and use of middleware solutions
Familiarity with data migration strategies and ETL tools
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work within Agile/Scrum teams
Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

Prior experience supporting federal government IT projects
Understanding of FedRAMP compliance requirements
Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft
Additional Salesforce certifications in specialty clouds (e.g., Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
Familiarity with GearSet for Salesforce deployments
Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies
Experience with AI/ML integration within Salesforce environments
Background in enterprise-level change management
