Expression is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to support the technical design and implementation of Salesforce solutions for our government clients. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on development to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that meet complex mission needs.
As a Salesforce Developer, you will contribute to the design and delivery of enterprise-grade Salesforce applications. You’ll work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to craft tailored solutions that align with business goals and federal standards.
This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and can be Remote.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and implement scalable Salesforce solutions based on business and technical requirements
- Participate in and lead technical design sessions with development teams
- Develop custom features using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution design artifacts
- Ensure development adheres to best practices around performance, scalability, and security
- Evaluate new Salesforce capabilities and features for potential adoption
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and recommend effective technical approaches
Education and Experience Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years of Salesforce development experience
- Certification: Salesforce Platform Developer II
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Deep expertise in the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce security and sharing architecture
- Experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and version control systems (e.g., GitHub)
- Demonstrated success in architecting and deploying large-scale Salesforce implementations
- Proficiency in API integrations and use of middleware solutions
- Familiarity with data migration strategies and ETL tools
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work within Agile/Scrum teams
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Prior experience supporting federal government IT projects
- Understanding of FedRAMP compliance requirements
- Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft
- Additional Salesforce certifications in specialty clouds (e.g., Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud)
- Familiarity with GearSet for Salesforce deployments
- Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies
- Experience with AI/ML integration within Salesforce environments
- Background in enterprise-level change management
