The Role
The Senior Portfolio Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and coordinating a complex portfolio of IT projects within a fast-paced, blended IT environment. This role requires strong leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships between Business and IT partners. The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of project scope definition, resource planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation, while providing exceptional customer service and communication to stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Facilitate project scope definition, capacity planning, resource estimation, and budgeting activities.
Act as an expert resource and mentor to junior team members, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in project management.
Build and maintain effective, win-win relationships with Business and IT partners, navigating diverse personalities and stakeholder interests.
Monitor project progress and provide accurate, timely status updates and presentations to leadership and key stakeholders.
Proactively identify and remove roadblocks, resolve issues, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and patience when interacting with business customers, serving as a role model for exemplary customer service.
Employ various communication methods to share information effectively, listen actively to customer concerns, and provide alternative resolutions.
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance service quality and add value to customer interactions.
Skills and Experience
Proven ability to perform job responsibilities effectively and independently with broad and in-depth knowledge in specific areas.
Business Analyst experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow up effectively with resources.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field (required)
CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) or PMP Certification (preferred)
Minimum Years of Experience:
Minimum 3+ years leading IT portfolio projects, managing complex initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Minimum 3+ years of experience in project scope definition, capacity planning, resource estimating, and budgeting.
