JOB TITLE: Account Manager

DEPARTMENT: Student Insurance

Account Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Service

Accountable for independently servicing, and invoicing designated book of business.

Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs, and delivering exceptional service and responding to all inquiries within 24 business hours.

Conduct regular meetings and strategic reviews to discuss plan performance, address concerns, and explore opportunities for service enhancement.

Manage day to day client servicing, resolve client inquiries and complaints regarding insurance products, policy changes, benefit, claim and billing issues.

Prepare and present detailed presentations and reports for clients to review claims data and coverage recommendations.

Demonstrate an understanding of routine coverages and policy terms and be able to articulate this information as needed.

Maintain client files and records in salesforce and other systems; document all account activities in a manner that is clear and understandable by others.

Assess and act upon opportunities to develop additional account revenue by cross-selling other products

Report as needed and upon request to SVP and SI Leadership on account status, financial, servicing and renewal progress.

Travel ~25% of the time to customers in CA

REQUIRED:

California Life & Health License Required (with 90 days of hire date)

Bachelor's degree required or work equivalent.

Minimum five years’ experience as an Account Manager in the insurance industry.

Background in Student Health preferred.

Spanish speaking is preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively address complex issues and present solutions clearly.

Significant attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for strategic thinking and decision-making.

Handle all escalations related to students and educational institutions effectively.

Excellent client service and presentation skills.
