Compensation Range
The base pay scale for this position is $58,000.00 - $88,000.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. Overview:
The Department of Anesthesiology at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to engage in pain prevention research. This fellowship is designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to conduct high-quality clinical and epidemiological research, with a focus on improving pain outcomes in patients undergoing orthopedic surgery and interventional procedures for musculoskeletal pain. The fellowship provides a unique opportunity to work in a mentor-driven, structured research environment at one of the world’s leading hospitals for orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal care.

Educational Component: Formal and informal training in research methodology, statistical analysis, and study design through collaboration with biostatisticians. Presentation & Publication Component: Active involvement in manuscript preparation, conference presentations, and academic networking.
