We are undertaking a strategic Digital Experience Project to transform how users engage with our collections and services. We are seeking an EL1 Project Manager to lead the delivery of this initiative, ensuring seamless coordination across teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
You will drive end-to-end project management—from planning to implementation—using agile methodologies while aligning outcomes with our Strategy 2025-2030. This role is critical to uplifting both public-facing platforms and internal systems, delivering measurable benefits for staff and users.
Lead the delivery of a medium-to-large-scale digital transformation, managing scope, budget, risks, and timelines.
Foster agile practices and iterative delivery, ensuring adaptability to changing priorities.
Engage stakeholders across business units, executives, and external partners to build consensus and drive adoption.
Oversee procurement, contracts, and vendor management, ensuring compliance with government frameworks.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, tracking benefits and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Mentor junior staff and promote APS Values, workplace diversity, and WHS principles.
We are looking for a dynamic leader with:
Proven experience delivering digital transformation projects impacting multiple teams or user groups.
Expertise in agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid project management approaches.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
Experience in government procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor oversight.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to solve problems and align projects to organisational goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reports, pitches, and change management.
