Job description

An adventure-driven brand passionate about the outdoors, camping, and creating unforgettable experiences in nature, is seeking a Social Media Assistant. This position will be a half-day role (8am – 1pm) 2 days onsite, 3 days remote working from home. Initially a 3-month fixed term contract, with potential to go permanent. Individual to ideally reside in the Kempton Park or East Rand surrounding regions.

We’re looking for a creative and organised candidate to help the company grow their online presence and connect with communities across all digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Design eye-catching graphics and short-form videos using Canva and CapCut.
  • Assist in managing and updating the WordPress website with blog posts, event updates, and product features.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our online community.
  • Track performance metrics and prepare monthly reports on engagement, reach, and growth.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, especially in the outdoor and travel space.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm campaign ideas and seasonal promotions.
  • Source and curate user-generated content from our community of campers and adventurers.





Requirements
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a brand or personal project.
  • Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, and WordPress.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices.
  • Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • A passion for the outdoors, camping, and adventure lifestyle.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.



Salary: R12 000 - R15 000
