Job description

The Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overall financial plans and policies along with accounting practices and the conduct of relationships with lending institutions and the financial community.  Directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, finance and human resources activities.  Responsibilities include the development, analysis, and interpretation of accounting and statistical information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the company.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Construction Management: Lead and manage construction projects from inception to completion. Ensure that construction work complies with all legal, safety, and regulatory standards. Manage contractors, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to timelines. Monitor project budgets and schedules, implementing corrective actions when needed. Develop and maintain project documentation, including plans, permits, and contracts. Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and engineers to meet project requirements

  • Lease Management: Oversee lease agreements for properties, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Liaise with landlords and tenants regarding lease renewals, negotiations, and disputes. Monitor and manage rental schedules, payments, and property conditions. Assist in space planning and expansion decisions based on company needs. Work with legal teams to review, negotiate, and finalize lease contracts.

  • Equipment Service Management: Ensure proper maintenance, repair, and servicing of all equipment and machinery. Develop and manage service contracts with vendors and contractors. Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner. Monitor inventory levels for necessary equipment and supplies.

  • Facilities Oversight: Manage daily operations of company facilities, ensuring safety, security, and operational efficiency. Oversee building maintenance, cleaning services, and overall upkeep. Implement and monitor energy-saving initiatives to optimize resource usage. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance and services.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 10 years experience in construction management, lease management, and facilities operations.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree or Equivalent Experience (MS, MA, MBA)

  • Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA).

  • Experience with budget management and cost control.

  • Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and green building practices.

  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices and lifecycle management.
