Position Overview :

As our AI Centre of Excellence continues to grow, the Genesys Predictive Engagement (GPE) Journey Orchestration team is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join us on this exciting and challenging journey.

The GPE team develops a critical part of shaping and displaying the Genesys customer journey. In simple terms, this means deciding how and when to engage with a customer to maximize the customer experience & desired outcome.

You will be joining a collaborative team of like-minded people who thrive on technical problem solving and relish design challenges. Working in an Agile team environment, our teams are full-stack, with capabilities to deliver full features across Front-End, Back-End, Eventing and Storage layers.  Because our software handles millions of interactions per day, implementation details of scale, security and usability are a primary focus of all Genesys Software Engineers. As a whole, we write code in Java and JavaScript and work with many technologies, including Node.js, Spark, Kafka, Cassandra and MongoDB and AWS features such as DynamoDB, EC2, ASG, SNS, SQS. 

This role is open to candidates located in Hungary (remote positions also available).

 In this role you will (Key Responsibilities):

• Shape the design and implementation of cutting-edge product features within our AI Platform.
• Own the full Develop > Test > Deploy > Maintain lifecycle, ensuring seamless functionality.
• See the big picture - Understand the system’s architecture and how your work fits into it.
• Champion quality, driving usability, accessibility, and thorough testing through peer reviews and bughunts.
• Grow your expertise in a supportive environment that values innovation and collaboration.
• Ensure security and efficiency, applying best practices for data integrity, traceability, and information sharing.

You have (Required Qualifications):

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on front-end development.
• Proficiency in Angular, Typescript, React or other modern Javascript frameworks.
• Strong experience with modern CSS techniques for scalable, responsive designs.
• Accessibility-first mindset, ensuring UI meets a11y best practices.
• Experience in writing unit & end-to-end tests (Jest & Playwright).
• Strategic thinking, able to plan and estimate front-end tasks effectively.

We expect you to have experience with some of the following technologies and are willing to learn the rest:  

• Understanding of software algorithms, data structures, and systems.
• REST APIs and seamless front-end/back-end integrations.
• Distributed Systems and Micro-Services, optimizing performance at scale.
• Development workflows using JIRA, Jenkins, GIT, and Bitbucket.
• AWS technologies and services.
