Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the Role:

VerTALENTS is seeking a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer who thrives in hybrid environments and is ready to architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across cloud-native platforms. If you're passionate about DevOps, automation, and building systems that scale with compliance at their core, we want to hear from you.

Responsabilities:

Lead the design and deployment of AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring best practices for security, networking, automation, and cost optimization.
Architect and maintain hybrid systems (Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365).
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or Ansible.
Build robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Jenkins.
Design and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and service meshes like Istio or Linkerd.
Drive microservices enablement using ECS/Fargate, EKS, and Helm.
Champion a security-first DevOps approach, enforcing IAM best practices, encryption, and compliance automation.
Design secure cloud networking (VPC, NAT, transit gateways, DNS, etc.).
Support compliance with PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, and internal standards using automated audits and policies.
Lead incident analysis, system tuning, and high-availability infrastructure design.
Deploy AI/ML cloud infrastructure (e.g., SageMaker, Bedrock, OpenAI) for model training, testing, and inference.
Mentor fellow engineers and advocate for best DevOps practices across teams.

What You Bring:

5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture roles.
Expert-level knowledge of AWS (EC2, ECS, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, GuardDuty, etc.).
Strong background in both Windows and Linux server administration.
Solid scripting/automation skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and microservices architectures.
Advanced understanding of cloud networking (subnets, route tables, VPNs, Direct Connect).
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Azure AD, and Intune.
Deep expertise in cloud security, threat modeling, and compliance (PCI-DSS, FedRAMP, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
Proficiency in monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, ELK, Grafana.
