\nAs a Laser Operator - 2nd Shift, your primary responsibility is to set up, operate, and maintain a laser cutting machine to cut, engrave, and shape various metal parts according to specifications, in a manufacturing environment. This includes tasks like selecting the correct machine settings, loading programs, diagnosing and resolving issues with the machine or materials, and maintaining records of production. You must have strong mechanical and technical skills, as well as a good eye for detail, in order to accurately operate the machine to achieve the desired results and effectively inspect the finished parts for accuracy ensuring they meet specifications.
\nJob Duties:

Monitor laser machines during operation
\nAdjust laser speed and intensity to achieve the desired result
\nMaintain and troubleshoot laser equipment
\nMonitor the quality of parts produced to ensure they meet industry standards
\nMaintain accurate records of the production and operation of the machines
\nHandle/Move/Store material before and after cutting
\nAble to read technical drawings and blueprints
\nAble to check and measure the accuracy of components
\nAble to work accurately and pay attention to detail
\nAble to work to tight deadlines
\nComply with all applicable OHSA, ESA, and other provincial regulatory laws, as well as company safety policies
\nJob Duties:
\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in laser cutting required
\nAbility to operate and maintain laser cutting machinery
\nFamiliarity with health and safety protocols
\nMust be able to work in a Team environment
\nMust have good communication skills
\nExcellent problem-solving and communication skills
\nAbility to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed
\nPhysical Requirements:
\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time
