At CMG, we’re looking for experienced, driven, and service-minded professionals to join our growing reverse mortgage division. As a Reverse Mortgage Loan Officer, you’ll be working in a high-volume, nationwide call center environment, connecting with older homeowners who are exploring options to improve their financial future.
This role isn’t just about loan origination, it’s about guiding clients with clarity, empathy, and expertise. You’ll handle both inbound and outbound calls, build trust quickly, and manage the loan process from start to finish.

What You’ll Do
  • Make outbound calls to pre-qualified leads and reach out to past clients to introduce CMG’s specialty reverse mortgage products.
  • Take inbound calls from curious homeowners and guide them through their options based on their goals.
  • Originate high-quality reverse mortgage loans with a focus on accuracy, education, and compliance.
  • Manage the loan process end to end from application to closing while delivering a seamless and positive experience for every client.
  • Analyze borrower income, assets, debt, and property data, including complex financial profiles.
  • Explain product features clearly and help clients understand which option best fits their unique needs.
  • Provide clear expectations, set realistic timelines, and communicate updates throughout the process.
What You Bring
  • At least two years of successful reverse mortgage experience preferred.
  • Active NMLS license required, with the ability to be licensed in multiple states.
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
  • Solid understanding of current lending regulations and reverse mortgage guidelines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive independently and in a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational habits.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email tools.
  • Strong communication skills; phone, written, and digital.
  • High integrity and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive financial conversations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct Reports: No

 

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

 

Base Compensation Information – For residents of the states of CA & CO, and for New York City + other areas requiring disclosure: A large portion of a Loan Officer’s compensation is commission based. CMG pays base wages that are equivalent to minimum wage. Base wages for a non-exempt Loan Officer are a draw against commissions earned.
