\r\nDescription:
\r\nThe Engine Controller Hardware Development Leader will play a key role in vehicle or module-related projects. Their main mission will be to oversee the progress of product and process qualification for electronic control module components, from supplier selection to series industrialization. Responsibilities include but not limited to:Ensure the development, validation, integration, and qualification of components within their scope.
\r\nDevelop and publish engine control module performance standards.
\r\nExecute programs through PDP that meet or exceed objectives for performance, cost, weight, investment, and quality.
\r\nDirect suppliers in developing, testing, and releasing components to meet Client vehicle level requirements and sub-system level behavior objectives.
\r\nDirectly involved with supplier design efforts and design reviews to ensure the supplier design meets Client expectation as listed in Client specifications.
\r\nEnsure product and process maturity in line with project expectations.
\r\nManage product and process changes based on identified needs.
\r\nOversee risks and critical points while addressing technical issues related to their scope.
\r\nDevelop core component hardware DFMEA for ECM modules. Review and sign off on Suppliers Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
\r\nCross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with design, manufacturing, suppliers, and other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and production feasibility.
\r\nInterface with global employees to harmonize product designs, processes, and documentation to promote component re-use.
\r\nSupport field warranty and quality investigations, leading the root cause analysis effort as well as contributing to the identification and validation of the optimal solution.

\r\nRequirements:
\r\nBachelor of Science in Electrical from an ABET accredited university
\r\n
\r\n· 5 years of overall relevant experience
\r\n
\r\n· 3+ years of electronic ECU or automotive 12V component development experience.
\r\n
\r\n· Full understanding of automotive ECU development process or 12V energy management systems.
\r\n
\r\n· Strong leadership skills (prepared to lead a supplier team).
\r\n
\r\nPreferred Requirements:
\r\n
\r\n· Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
\r\n
\r\n· Experience managing suppliers and/or engineers.
\r\n
\r\n· Experience managing or developing embedded software.
\r\n
\r\n· Proficient in LabVIEW, Teststand, Veristand, CAPL
\r\n
\r\n· Familiar with cryptographic principals.
\r\n
\r\n· Familiar with CAN/CAN-FD protocols.
\r\n
\r\n· Outstanding communication and organization skills.
\r\nAdditional Information / Must Have's:
\r\n1. Electrical Engineering Degree
\r\n
\r\n2. Relevant experience with electronic hardware
\r\n
\r\n3. Self-starter with demonstrated problem solving ability
