Title: Dimensional & Metrology Lab Specialist – 1
Location: 529 Pleasant Street, Attleboro, MA, 02703
Duration: 06 Months Contract
Payrate 28.00 - 42.00
Shift: 1st Shift 07:00 AM to 03:30 PM (Sun-Sat)
 
JOB DESCRIPTION

  • In this position the selected candidate will provide measurement and inspection services to engineering, manufacturing, quality, and process engineering teams. 
  • The individual will interpret mechanical prints, develop inspection programs utilizing CMM software, collect data, develop data reports, prioritize scheduling of work and offer consultation support with respect to GD&T and mechanical print interpretations. 
  • In addition to dimensional inspection related activities, the selected candidate will also support calibration activities for the organization. 
  • Calibration activities include retrieval of items due for calibration, calibration of various items such as thread rings, thread plugs, calipers, balances, force gauges etc. in accordance with documented procedures as well as recording these activities for quality purposes.
 
Job Details:
  • Dimensional Inspection activities include:
  • Mechanical print reading and GD&T interpretation
  • CMM program development
  • 3D Laser scanning
  • Hand tool measurement
  • Data collection and reporting
  • Calibration activities include:
  • Collection of items due for calibration at scheduled intervals
  • Data collection and documentation of As Found / As Left results
  • Updating records within calibration lab management system for tracking purposes
 
Job Requirements:
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline strongly preferred or applicable technical expertise.   Military Veterans encouraged me to apply.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing (GD&T), mechanical print reading and measurement best practices is required.
  • Proficiency in use of Mitutoyo CMM, Quick Vision Software and Hardware (touch Probe and Vision)
  • Proficiency in Fluke Calibration Asset Management Software, Met/Team.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral and written
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Non-US Persons, as defined in the ITAR and EAR, may not be eligible to obtain authorization.
