About the Role:

The Executive Director of Hospice Care will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the hospice program, ensuring that members receive compassionate and high-quality end-of-life care. ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations. The Executive Director of Hospice Care is responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that enhance members care services while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Executive Director will collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and community organizations to promote hospice services and advocate for member's needs. Additionally, this role involves overseeing financial management, staff development, and operational efficiency to ensure the sustainability of the hospice program. Ultimately, the Executive Director will be instrumental in fostering a culture of empathy and support for members and their families during a critical time in their lives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 3 years in hospice or palliative care.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in hospice and palliative care management.
  • Experience in community outreach and program development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall operations of the hospice program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance members care services and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the hospice program, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance management to build a skilled and compassionate team.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to promote hospice services and advocate for member's needs.
