Job Description:

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank’s technology transformation.

We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank’s technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.

As a Product Owner you will be responsible for the products lifecycle from conception through to value realisation.  You will develop a strategic vision, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure you deliver the required outcomes. You will be accountable for managing a multi-year product roadmap and vision along with ensuring you manage expectations through transparent and successful delivery.

You will be part of a global cross-functional agile delivery team, stepping into an exciting leadership role under which requirements and solutions evolve through collaborative effort and a relentless focus on delivering business value.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders (Business and IT) to define the features required to deliver the necessary business outcomes and ensure the associated success criteria are clearly understood and agreed
  • Define and manage the product vision and roadmap, understanding the cost/return economics of the relevant features in order to drive prioritisation decisions and provide both written and verbal status updates
  • Adjusting the features and priority dynamically based on user feedback and realignment of business priorities.  Accepting or rejecting features delivered based on agreed success criteria and successful user demonstrations.
  • Define technical items ranging from integration of new and modified features into existing platforms, defining or decomposing complex systems and processes, writing and executing test plans, contributing to automated testing frameworks, and guiding development teams roll out new solutions
  • Work as part of an agile delivery team to support break down of features in to user stories that can evidence incremental delivery of agreed outcomes and value

Skills

  • Experience in Financial Services; exposure to Risk Management, Credit Risk and Stress Testing highly beneficial.
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate user needs on a long term basis in order to build a continuous vision for the product that fits into the strategic architecture of the organisation and synergies between different products – able to deliver incremental features that map to a long term vision
  • Must be able to adapt styles in order to communicate information effectively with people from varying backgrounds including technical teams, users and business stakeholders
  • Comfortable with challenging requests from different stakeholders if these requests are not in the best interest of the product and be able to take into account regional variations in requirements / competing demand
  • Experience of working with agile delivery methodologies, with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) experience beneficial.
