MSPbots is hiring a Data Engineering Manager to own and evolve our data platform—powering analytics, automation, and business intelligence for Managed Service Providers (MSPs). If you’re ready to lead technical innovation while enforcing best-in-class data governance, we want to hear from you.

Work Setup: Hybrid | 1–2 days onsite, 10th floor, IBP Tower, Jade Dr, Ortigas Center, Pasig, 1605 Metro Manila
Schedule: Monday–Friday from 9 PM–6 AM PHT (8 AM–5 PM CDT) | Fixed Rest Days: Sat–Sun

What You’ll Be Doing

Team & Technical Leadership

Lead and grow a team of Data Engineers in a high-performance, agile environment
Collaborate with Data Analysts, Product, and Support teams to align data infrastructure with business needs
Guide architectural and technical decision-making for engineering projects

Data Platform Ownership

Build and optimize data pipelines from SaaS tools (e.g., PSA, RMM platforms)
Own our cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines
Monitor platform health and ensure scalable, secure performance

Integration & Standardization

Design unified data models and cross-system normalization strategies
Ensure data consistency, traceability, and syncing alignment across systems
Drive adoption of standardized metrics and definitions

Data Governance & Compliance

Enforce frameworks for data quality, access control, and compliance (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.)
Define and monitor Data Quality Indicators (DQIs)
Participate in audits, risk assessments, and internal security processes

Metadata & Documentation

Maintain data catalogs, dictionaries, and lineage documentation
Promote consistent use of master data across all teams and assets

Collaboration & Enablement

Partner with internal teams to translate business requirements into reliable data solutions
Support development of dashboards, reports, and bots through quality data assets
Lead internal education sessions and foster a data-first culture

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in data engineering, with 2+ years leading a technical team
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL, Python, and data warehousing
Familiar with Airflow, dbt, or similar ETL tools
Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK)
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiar with MSP ecosystem platforms like ConnectWise, Datto, Kaseya, N-able
Strong project management and communication skills
Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2)

Nice to Have

Fluent English for client- and team-facing communication
Familiar with Power BI, Tableau, or other visualization platforms
DevOps/IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience in client onboarding, data migrations, or transitioning from tools like BrightGauge
