Job description

We're looking for a freelance UI/UX designer with a passion for games and a sharp eye for user-centered design. You’ll help shape the user experience for a mobile-first, 2D training game with a futuristic theme. This project is being developed in the Unity Game Engine, so familiarity with Unity workflows and export-ready asset preparation is essential.

Requirements
  • Strong portfolio with game UI examples, clearly articulating your role in the process
  • Solid understanding of UX principles tailored to specific audiences and platforms
  • Experience with design systems and pattern libraries
  • Proficiency with Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and asset preparation
  • Proven background in mobile game UI/UX
  • Experience creating functional UI designs and exporting assets for game developers, especially for Unity
  • Ability to clearly explain and justify design decisions with rationale and critical thinking
  • Collaborative mindset and flexibility to adapt as the project evolves with new information
     
What You’ll Be Working On
  • Designing wireframes and user flows to align cross-functional teams
  • Creating fun and engaging in-game UI assets and layouts
  • Ensuring designs are optimized and ready for implementation in Unity
  • Collaborating closely with executives, directors, artists, writers, developers, and PMs
*This is 20 hours a week to starting July 17th through November with an option to add more as needed.
