Job Title:

Graduate Assistant - Student Affairs

Job Description:

This professionally minded individual will have duties in a variety of student affairs areas, including access and accommodation, campus life, and residence life. This individual must be available during some evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the planning and implementing of campus-wide events/programs throughout the year.
  • Coordinate student organization management and trainings
  • Assist with all major Student Affairs events
  • Coordination of access and accommodation testing space and proctors
  • Assistance with proctoring when needed
  • Assist students with making test reservations
  • Completion of testing forms for proctors
  • Attend all applicable meetings and programs associated with primary job duties.
  • Schedule and maintain 25 office hours –Monday through Friday
  • Serve in a professional on-call crisis management rotation on the Atlanta campus
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for applicants:

  • Enrolled in at least a 2+ year graduate program
  • Extremely organized and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, self-motivation and flexibility.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Works both independently and in group settings with various Mercer constituencies
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills

Remuneration

  • $850 monthly stipend.
  • Furnished one-bedroom on-campus apartment. This includes cable, internet, utilities and free parking.
  • Free access to campus recreational facilities
