Breakthrough T1D is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Architect to join our Technology Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for data and a desire to learn and contribute to the design and implementation of our data infrastructure. The Data Architect will work closely with senior architects and engineers to develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient data solutions that support our business objectives. You will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of data architecture, from data integration and data warehousing to reporting and hands on SQL development and troubleshooting.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide support to data consumers.
  • Participate in the development of data integration pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Write complex SQL queries to enable deep data insights / data analysis
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the efficient and reliable flow of data across systems.
  • Contribute to the documentation of data architecture designs, data flows, and data dictionaries.
  • Come up with innovative (AI, etc.) data-related ideas to push our mission forward
  • Support the optimization of data systems for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Contribute to the selection and implementation of database technologies, data warehousing solutions, and big data platforms.
  • Work with the Data Governance Team to define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Support team members with ad-hoc data requests and projects.
  • Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and best practices.

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts and SQL.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake concepts is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MDM and multi-system integration a plus

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years of experience in a data-related role or relevant academic experience.

Targeted Salary Range: 85k – 110k
