As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native applications that support our AI-driven products and services. Working as part of a fast-paced, forward-thinking team, you’ll focus on creating solutions that are scalable, secure, and built to perform.
 

You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver infrastructure and platforms that enable intelligent, reliable, and efficient outcomes. From building new cloud environments to refining existing systems, your work will directly support the delivery of cutting-edge technology that makes a genuine impact.

This will be a full time. 12 month contract (with the view to be made permanent) based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days.
 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cloud Application Design: Design and deliver cloud-native applications and services, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • API Design and Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs and other interfaces to support seamless integration with cloud applications and external systems.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy, manage, and optimise cloud infrastructure resources using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or cloud-native services.
  • Automation and CI/CD: Develop automated processes for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and scaling, leveraging scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security controls.
     

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in a similar Cloud Platform Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure role, with 2–3 years of hands-on experience working in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of general programming principles, with practical experience in either Python or C#, and a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency with core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and Lambda, with demonstrated experience in designing and managing scalable, secure AWS environments.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar, to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS or Kubernetes, with an understanding of how to deploy and manage containerised applications.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as GitHub CI, AWS CodePipeline, or similar, to support automated deployment and integration processes.
