As the Instructional Assistant, you will be providing support to your assigned Instructor and the students within the class. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience within the field of higher education.

Shape the bright futures of Grand Canyon University students as an Instructional Assistant for the traditional ground campus in the College of Arts and Media, which provides a job focused education.

Traditional Campus courses are daytime classes designed for traditional students on the GCU Main Campus located in Phoenix, Arizona.

What You Will Do:

Assists primary instructor with in-class activities, grading assignments, facilitating class discussion, tutoring, and proctoring examinations.
Provides tutoring as well as coordinates study groups outside of class meeting days and times to assist students on class material.
Adheres to weekly grading deadlines.
Observes students’ performance and records relevant data to aid primary instructor in assessing progress.
Other additional duties may be assigned in order to assist the primary instructor.
Willingness to participate in instructional training sessions, College meetings, and orientation.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

M.A. in Music, Master of Music, M.A. or M.S. in Music Education, or M.M. in Music Education, or higher.
Must have sufficient courses in discipline of assistance needed as well as having received a grade of B or higher in each.
