Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Thayer Dental Lab in Mechanicsburg, PA, for a CAD CAM III - Implants. 

The regular hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Preliminary:
    • Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique.
    • Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship.
  • Implant:
    • Prepare for articulation.
    • Set bites.
    • Insert implant copings.
    • Soft tissue.
    • Cement screw retained cases.
    • Seat custom abutments in soft tissue model and make adjustments as necessary.
    • Order implant parts.
    • Prepare casework instruction sheets.
  • 3shape:
    • Scan all abutment systems.
    • Model builder.
    • Design Abutments.
    • Design cement retained or screw retained crown/bridge restorations.
  • Keep cases organized so that the flow of work stays on schedule.
  • Clean work area daily.

OTHER DUTIES OF JOB: 

  • Communicate with Laboratory Manager and Production Manager on a daily basis.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Skills and Abilities Required: 

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Excellent hand eye coordination.
  • Display attention to detail.
  • Time management skills required for production environment.
  • Display problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 

  • Five to ten years related experience/training in preliminary, CAD/CAM, crown & bridge, and implant related dental laboratory production.
  • CDT or equivalent preferred.
  • PTC certification in SPA and SAA as a minimum standard.

  • Hand-pieces.
  • Steamers
  • Accelerator
  • Glue
  • Sharp Tools.
  • Bench Lathe.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
  • Vision capabilities:  depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color
